In desperation he begins to carefully lowers himself deeper into the crevasse as his only chance to survive since he can not face the prospect of a long, slow death.

Sebuah perjuangan hebat dan habis-habisan dari seorang Joe Simpson dalam upaya mempertahankan hidupnya dan "penolakan" terhadap maut yang terus mengintainya. Our popular writing papers are all excellent choices for drawing, painting, art journalling, and scrapbooking as well! So, one Terrence ‘Geezer’ Butler is the third member of the band to pen an autobiography, and I can tell you it is the best of the three. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. The final product is a well-organized and wonderfully entertaining account of Geezer’s life, including of course, some of the many tales of Sabbath’s craziest times.

A straight forward story of a couple mistakes on a mountain leading to one climber fighting to survive for a couple days as he makes his way back to camp. Though the first chapters are laced with technical climbing jargon, the great chunk of the story is related in the short cries, grunts, and obscenities you would expect to find popping from the mouths of two young men facing a nightmarish trial on a 21,000 ft peak. Black Sabbathin klassisten alkuvuosien biisien sanoittaja oli pääsääntöisesti Geezer Butler, joten – vähättelemättä kenenkään muun saavutuksia – se, joka on kiinnostunut Black Sabbathista myös sanoitusten eikä pelkästään pirullisten riffien ja Ozzy Osbournen dramaattisen lauluosuuksien ja Bill Wardin jazz-henkisten soolojen puolesta, on väistämättä kiinnostunut mitä Geezerillä on sanottavanaan bändin urasta. Like Geezer's bass lines and the story of Black Sabbath themselves, Into the Void is original, dramatic and one hell of a ride. While Joe cried in frustration, he rarely if ever cried about the loss of a parent, a companion, a child.

One enchanting anecdote remains etched in my mind for both its comedic and intriguing nature, and that being the peculiar story of the "Sabotage" album cover. He had survived the fall of more than 200 feet (61 meters) and had landed on a small ledge inside the crevasse. When Simpson falls and breaks his right leg, Yates, in a truly heroic style, attempts to lower his injured partner down the near vertical face of the mountain in a blizzard . Having read Ozzy's hilarious bio and Tony's more chronological approach it's good to read Geezer's take on life growing up in Aston and Sabbath's against the odds slog to fame and on to becoming the Masters of Reality.Normally an autobiography is boring until they ‘get famous’ but Geezer paints such a picture of his early life growing up in Aston, Birmingham that it’s every bit as interesting as the rest. In a fortunate coincidence, although Yates had no choice as to where in the rope's 300-foot (91 m) length he made the cut (it happened to be in the middle) it left each climber a sufficient length of rope to extricate themselves from their overnight positions. But this isn't a book about politics, and Butler comes across as a thoroughly decent man in a truly bizarre industry. He therefore had to save himself but he found it impossible to climb up to the entrance of the crevasse, because of the overhanging ice and his broken leg. This involved navigating the glacier (which was scattered with more crevasses) and the moraines below.
