Picturehouse Entertainment has acquired UK and Ireland rights to Justine Triet’s Cannes Competition title Anatomy Of A Fall from France’s mk2 films.

Alongside big hitters such as Oppenheimer and Killers of the Flower Moon, one of the films that has emerged as a major player during the ongoing awards season is the French crime drama Anatomy of a Fall. Hunter tearfully admits to a four-month affair that ended shortly before Becky and Dan's wedding, but Becky is unmoved by her apologies. The film is already getting plenty of attention since its trailer release on 2 November 2023, and will be Emily and Ryan's first project together (and something of a Barbenheimer meeting of minds, since both starred in the two of the biggest films of 2023). Cubitt found the structure of the book intriguing, which began with a look at the BTK Killer's attack that was possible because of Rader's testimony, his documentary evidence and the extensive forensic evidence that was gathered from the scene of the crime.

She is best known for her role as Anneliese Michel in Hans-Christian Schmid's 2006 drama Requiem, for which she won the Silver Bear for Best Actress. Whether you're in the UK or the US though, Anatomy of a Fall has yet to be released on any streaming service like Netflix. Given the nature of the genre, you might just want to go into this one knowing as little as possible, when the film hits cinemas in a couple of months. It premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival and won the Palme d'Or, the fest's top prize, and is one of the better-reviewed movies of the year, already "Certified Fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes.

Charente-Maritime is a département in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region on the southwestern coast of France. If like us, you’re a fan of single location thrillers like 2019’s Crawl or 2010’s Buried, then you’ll want to add the upcoming movie, Fall, to your watchlist. The trial soon becomes not just an investigation, but a gripping psychological journey into the depths of Sandra and Samuel's complicated marriage.

We've got a good feeling about The Fall Guy, the new action-comedy movie starring fan favourites Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt that will hit screens in the not too distant future. Your sales contract is with the original retailer you purchased your product from so you will need to take it back to them. As the two begin their descent, however, the ladder breaks, stranding them several hundred feet above the next intact section and almost two thousand feet above the ground. The many layers to their relationship are brought to the surface as viewers hear about the tension between the couple after their son suffered a traumatic childhood accident, resentment from Samuel towards the ambiguity of Sandra’s sexuality within their marriage and a subtle power battle between the couple as they both pursued their individual creative careers. A seemingly cold but very passionate policewoman goes head to head with a seemingly passionate father who is in fact a cold serial killer in this procedural out of Belfast.

It’s] incredibly special in the sense that we get to do," adding “And it just feels like we're paying homage to the stunt community and to, really, cinema and those of us who make the movies. It also won Best Foreign Language Film at the Critics' Choice awards over the likes of Godzilla Minus One and Society of the Snow.

I thought this dark BBC thriller was not only original, but extremely well filmed, suspenseful, realistic (real northern Irish actors and Gillian Anderson a word perfect English lady, in what clearly is Belfast itself), very well acted all round. They decided to build the upper portion of the tower on top of a mountain so that the actors would appear to be thousands of feet in the air, even though in real life they were never more than a hundred feet off the ground. According to director Scott Mann, the filmmakers considered green screen or digital sets, but ultimately opted for the real thing. The focus could then become the motives for the killings and on the insights that might be gained about the psychology of the killer, even in the face of what might be considered a normal, functioning person with a job, wife and children. Ken Tucker also felt that the show lost its quality, criticized the character development, but found Anderson and Dornan to be "good" and "handsome and skilled" respectively. The series premiered in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland on RTÉ One on 12 May 2013, [1] and in the rest of the United Kingdom on BBC Two on 13 May 2013 followed by ZDFneo. The acquisition is Picturehouse Entertainment’s fourth pick-up at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, following Hirokazu Kore-eda’s Monster, Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s About Dry Grasses and Tran Anh Hung’s The Pot-Au-Feu - all of which play in Competition.
