Even though he worked for SHIELD, he was still extremely protective of his inventions and did not trust them in anyone else’s hands. Well, anyone but his wife Janet. He and Janet were secret superheroes in the 70s and 80s, known as Ant-Man and the Wasp. In his free time, Shane loves going for runs and playing with his 16-year-old beagle Butterscotch. Butters for short, she has been the greatest love of his and inspires him everyday, both creatively and emtionally. On top of that, he's now a huge collector. He loves Funko Pop, McFarlane Toys, and Neca's huge line of horror figures. In the last two years he has been going to a lot of conversations to buy an unhealthy amount of figures. This has also allowed him to meet some of his favorite filmmakers/actors like Mike Flanagan, Matthew Lillard, John Carpenter, Grace Caroline Curry, Steve Burns and Kathryn Newton. In the movie, while their characters live and travel together with the rest of the Freedom Fighters, they couldn’t be any more night-and-day. The duo found themselves filming on giant green screen stages for their scenes, and while the Quantum Realm was digitally added in later, many things about their home were practical. I had a little building that they said— I asked if it could be [Jentorra’s home],” O’Brian laughs. “They said yes. It looked like a little hovel. Ant-Man stands at 11.8″ tall, with about 30 points of articulation. The figure includes a masked portrait, and unmasked Scott Lang portrait with the likeness of actor Paul Rudd, multiple interchangeable hands, a miniature Wasp figure, and a display stand. Both O’Brian and Harper never dreamed of winding up in a movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, let alone in the Quantum Realm, and continue to have pinch me moments about it — O’Brian because she absolutely loves taking on physical roles (and did every single stunt herself in the movie), and Harper because he’s a self-dubbed “big nerd” and everything about the movie was right up his alley. Super Mario Sunshine, The Last of Us Part 1 and 2, and Batman: Arkham City are some of his favorites. Music plays a big part in his life as well. Given that Shane's a big horror fan, you might be surprised to learn that he's a pop guy. Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa, The Jonas Brothers, and Demi Lovato play on repeat while he's writing. I got to carry a big old hand cannon laser thing! I'm a nerd, like, that's fun. I want to do that. For me, I couldn't wait for those battle scenes. I couldn't wait — I got to carry a big toy. That's great for me.”

Sadly, as was always the case, Scott was punished for doing the right thing. By trying to help find some more quantum energy to help out Ghost, Scott ended up being trapped in the Quantum Realm for five years. Upon returning to the normal-sized world, Scott found Cassie alive, much to his relief and confusion. He always wanted to be there to see her grow up and he utterly failed. His daughter had grown up without him. He Who Remains Even though it put his freedom at a great risk, Scott secretly helped Hope and Hank rescue Janet Van Dyne from the Quantum Realm. During this time, he was opposed by the villain Ghost, who was cursed with painful phasing powers. In the aftermath, Scott and the reunited Pym/Van Dyne family farmed the Quantum Realm for a specific kind of energy that would help keep Ghost stable. While Scott entered the Quantum Real, the Mad Titan Thanos used the Infinity Stones to snap away half of all life in the universe. Hank Pym, Janet Van Dyne, and Hope Van Dyne were all victims of this act and turned to dust. Speaking of being enthusiastic, one of Harper’s fondest memories from filming was the day the Freedom Fighters stormed Kang’s fortress, if only because he managed to pull some muscles and was not expecting to do that.Re-enters the Quantum Realm with Hot Toys latest 1/6th scale collectible figure Ant-Man in his latest outfit, based on Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
